Introduction

We make this blog together with my husband, the son of Jaap (Jacob Egmond) Hooft.
It is made to share - what is suddenly perceived by us a a treasure, that has to be shared wider than the family only. Jaap Hooft was the Professor of Arts in The Hague at the Royal Academy of Arts, who raised many students in love an devotion to also his favorite landscapes of Spain and France...

Actually this blog is initially made to share the photos Jaap Hooft made in early 1950s...
